En Route!

Welcome to Voltrek1000!

We are cycling 1000Km, from Shere to Chamonix in one week to celebrate the amazing lives of Mark and Tim Sutton.

Please help us to raise as much money as we can for the people of Nepal with the Gurkha Welfare Trust in their memory.

"I cannot think of a more generous and glorious way of remembering Tim and Mark than this ambitious and insanely energetic bike ride.

As a Vice Patron of the GWT I want to say how hugely appreciative we are; the money raised will support our old Gurkha soldiers and their communities in Nepal, who need our help now more than ever: so many were affected by the recent earthquakes and this will help them to recover and rebuild.

“A consummate professional and a good man, Mark’s death in 2013 came as a terrible shock to all of us. I mourned his loss with all those who’d been fortunate enough to work with him, and many others who’d been thrilled by his dramatic entrance at the Opening Ceremony in London 2012.

“Mark represented the finest qualities of human spirit and was determined to push the limits of what man can achieve. If the Gurkhas are famed for their courage then Mark would have fit right in among their ranks.

I send a million thanks, and encourage everyone who reads this to send something, to honour the memory of Mark and Tim, to help the Gurkha veterans and their communities and to encourage our saddled heroes who undertake the challenge ahead."

Shabash! Well done!! and much love from Joanna Lumley.

“I’m sure that he’d be proud to be remembered with such a worthy mission to help his former comrades in earthquake devastated Nepal. I wish Mark’s brother and the rest of the Voltrek1000 team the best of luck with their efforts.”   Danny Boyle

Our team is made up of Tim's brother and big sister and Mark's baby brother. We are supported by fantastic family and friends on our adventure.

This is a completely self funded endeavour. We are covering all our costs on the trip ourselves.

So every penny that is donated will go directly to help in Nepal.

Date of the event is 25th June - 2nd July 2016
